Flag of Canada - Hometown Proud

National Music Program

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Flag of Canada, with funding from Canadian Heritage, we travelled across Canada creating the largest multi-track recording of O Canada - EVER! Schools from all of Canada’s provinces and territories were invited to participate as we took the recording studio on the road to produce this historic recording of O Canada featuring 28,725 young voices. The program provided teachable moments for all participants including the history of the Flag of Canada; learning about music and the recording process; along with instilling a sense of accomplishment and pride for all as part of a larger-than-life recording project.
